1. Public Education - It's the faulty school system that does not require Home Economics in order to graduate.
2. My Mom - She never passed on her knowledge of cake making to me
3. My grandma - She was very good at saying "just let me do it"
4. Betty Crocker - Where on the recipe does it say to wait until the cake cools before frosting? Seriously Betty! How could you.
5. Martha Stewart - Why does she make it look so easy? WHYYYY!
6. My husband - He has led me to believe that if I keep trying one day I might just bake something that turns out.
7. My Brother Jared - He soaked up all the talent for baking and left me none.
8. Finally... Santa Clause!!! - I bet he feels like a jerk now for never giving me that Easy Bake Oven I wanted soooo badly. That one experience killed my desire to learn the culinary art of baking.

I'm sure it tasted delicious anyway. You may need to read the directions a little better. Betty does say to cool completely before frosting. Again you could blame that on public education too.
HAHAHA - you crack me up Mandy! I actually thought one of your girls climbed on the counter and had a tasty treat. I'm sorry it turned out horribly for you. At least you weren't planning to take it to a sick neighbor...that's the worst! :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who ruins things. You rock!
That is a riot!! You are hysterical and I don't bake cakes for some of those same reasons.
Don't you know you always volunteer for the chips or rolls? Can't wait to see you tomorrow.
HA HA!! I am going to add you to my blog so I can check in on ya. Where do you take Emma to gymnastics? Livvy loves gymnastics and I have been checking out places. (Your cake pretty much looks like mine! Dang it!)
It may have looked bad but the cake plate it was on was gorgeous and the taste was really good. And no, you can't bring drinks next time, you will keep bringing desert, one day it will look beautiful and you will thank me for it.
